I am appalled at the way this season has kicked off - when last year was so severe. Can but hope you guys get off lighter than might seem expected and do all possible to stay safe.
Get back here asap and let us know how things are.

Thanks for the well wishes....my current plan has me holding down the fort here....but we'll see.
My biggest worry is the travel trailer in the back yard. I'd hate for it to flip, but I am hesitant to evacuate and leave my house and property unattended.
We are currently forecast to be right in the path of it here in the Pensacola area.
I will update when able, but I suspect that power will be out for quite some time.
P.S. I've got plenty of ammo!!!

We live in Cantonment Fla. A burb of Pensacola to the north. All our neighbors are "buggin' out" this time. We (my wife and I) will stay. We have nowhere to go and I value our posessions way to much to just walk away from them. We swore that we would not go through another night like the last storm(Ivan) but we just can't up and walk away from our home.-------

Dennis
Just heard That while Dennis is officially classed as a Category "4" Hurricane ~ it is only one degree below a Category "5" & there is nothing standing in its way now that it is mostly past Cuba.
Don't take any chances with this one Florida folks.

Almost here..........
This will certainly be my last post until the storm has passed. It is currently 100 miles south-southeast of Pensacola, moving north at 14 mph with sustained winds of 145 mph.
It ain't gonna be pretty, that's for sure.
