Wow...I bet the billions of dollars that has been undoubtedly poured into developing this thing were well spent.
I wonder if the electric car could have been perfected with that money or the Hydrogen powered vehicle? Or maybe we could be several steps closer to curing cancer or some other disease.
I'm trying to imagine what purpose this device may be used for. I am at a loss for one.

Maybe if someone invents a nano gun - all our concealement problems will be over
But - hmmmmm - two angstroms as a caliber?
Nope - not gonna cut it!

Nano technology is going to change things like you cant imagine.
Think of it, a GPS,cellphone, walkie talkie, calculater and computer with interent access and time piece all in something the size of a watch.
How about bullet tags? Every bullet gets an itty bitty tag that can be detected with a microscope.Or a GPS transponder located in every gun sold after a certain date.
I predict, that in the next 25 years, there will be no such thing as "privacy". It will be an old outdated concept and the word wont even be in the dictionary in the furture.
I would rather stand against the cannons of the wicked than against the prayers of the righteous.

It is not quite a radio they are using a nano tube as a detector/demodulator kind of like a high frequency (1 geg/hz) crystal radio.

Thats almost like the time when we, USA, developed the worlds smallest drill bit, about the size of a human hair. We sent it all over the world for other countries to marvel at. Japan sent it back drilled and tapped.

DrLewall - That's funny but, so true.
Nano technology is going to change the world in an incredible way.
Changing altering & modifying the properties of all matter on an atomic level.
I'm just curious about it but, sure don't understand it.
I understand it just enough to know that it's going to impact absolutely everything once they get bugs worked out it.

I understand it just enough to have confidence that someone will always be trying to ABUSE it for corrupt purposes or personal gain... and that someone will always be trying to use it beyond his ability to control it, and it will cause hideous problems down the road.
Mankind has always demonstrated itself to be far more curious than wise. When you start messing with stuff like nanotechnology, and you are as immature a species as we are, you are asking for trouble.
Look at the house of cards we've built on the internet. So much commerce and other information transfer is done on a system so incredibly vulnerable to pernicious attack... It was stupid for us to rush to put all of our eggs in this basket, at a time when we are always chasing to catch up to new ways to scam the system, steal identities and information, etc.

It's the nature of our beast. It always has been and always will be. It's reality. Still we continue to advance. We are the unstoppable human machine.

So if I buy one of these things, how do I know they put it in the bag? And how do you turn it on? I'm sort a basic kinda guy, and easy to confuse..
