the only problem i have with this video is that I have never understood why anyone would want to jump off of a perfectly good rock.... Oh well lol i just dont understand the feeling off falling, not for me but it looks fun HAHAH

Holy Flurking Shnit! That was seriously crazy...those guys are either incredibly competent, or completely insane. Probably both...
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Interestingly, just a week or two ago I read an article about these suits these guys are wearing in the video. The US Military is playing around with them and they are very interested in the ability the suit gives a person. You can jump out of a plane up at 35,000 feet and "fly" many miles from the drop point. And a radar target as small and a human body does not always show up on a military air search radar. So, a commando could jump 20 miles or more from his target and "fly" to it and open the canopy very low, thus making a stealthy insertion much easier to accomplish.

    Very cool indeed.

No question: they are insane! Awesome video, but that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen a human being do.

I wonder how much lift they actually get out of their suits. It would be one thing to actually have the ability to climb or maneuver on demand in a personal aircraft, like this guy --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-66AcTo9TU

I think Woody said it best - "That wasn't flying! That was... falling with style!"

"A well-educated electorate, being necessary to the continuance of a free state, the right of the people to keep and read books shall not be infringed."
Is this hard to understand? Then why does it get unintelligible to some people when 5 little words are changed?

Rocket J. Squirrel lives! (for us oldsters who remember Rocky the Flying Squirrel). Only Bullwinkle is missing! I would need several tequila and tonics to even put on the suit!

    Fascinating stuff IMO.

These guys claim glide ratios of 3:1 and even 2:1 .... and the ''squirrel suits'' are excellent at providing reasonable lift. If I was young again I'd love to try this - perfectly safe and as long as the 'chute is there for the last phase - no problem.

That seems about as safe as wlaking through Tehran with an "Infidel" hat and American Flag t-shirt singing "Yankee Doodle." I of course don't even understand the purpose of jumping out of perfectly good airplanes...never mind jumping off a cliff.

That was insane, but talk about a rush!

I hate to admit it but if I was in my 20's again you'd probably hear me say,
