    Jet Packs

We had these back in the '50s. Hard to aim a rifle from however.

Interesting- note the Napoleonic ranks. He didn't quite make the leap to fighting with "skirmishers" in the air.

Men in their flying machines attacking fortresses. Looks familiar. Just a bit more equipment used for flying is all.

Isn't this just a representation of ''when the ballon goes up?"

    Question I Wonder ~ I Just Wonder

Right NOW...If we all drew individual highly detailed pictures of what WE thought and believed "Future Warfare" was going to look like in OUR Distant FUTURE.
And then we hid them away somewhere in a time capsule.

WHO would be laughing at OUR drawings a few hundred years from now????

I figured I'd draw a landscape of a bunch of radioactive craters and that would be pretty close.

I was wondering what the artist thought of his vision a few short years later, when airplanes stopped being observation platforms and started being weapons. Or if he was still alive to experience 1,000 bomber sorties and the Dresden firestorm. An interesting window on futures past. Thanks.
