Haven't been around much the last few days....here's why

I bought "Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare" for the Xbox 360 and I have been hooked for a few days now.

If you like first person shooter games all I can say is HOLEY COW! This is easily the coolest game I have ever played. It is realistic in it's graphics. In fact, it might be a bit too realistic if you ask me. If you suffer from PTSD as a result of combat stress, don't play this game because there are times where it is almost too real.

All the firearms are done very well. They fire and operated as they should. And the best part about the guns? Some of them can fire through walls. Not just plaster walls but concrete or brick walls. So if a bad guy is hiding behind a brick wall and you happen to be holding an AK, then that bad guy is dead because you can fire right through the wall and kill the bad guy.

Now, this works both ways. I have been killed many times while taking cover behind a brick or cement wall only to see rounds start coming through the wall and then you are dead.

I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone who likes first person shooter games. It is amazing.

Haven't been much of a game guy, but I just bought a new iMac with 4 gigs of RAM...I might look into something like that...is it something you play on-line also, or is it just a game on the computer?...
Please forgive my simple questions...I know nothing about all the games I hear about, but it might spark a 'shooting' interest.

As soon as my 360 is fixed I'll be getting this game. The previews were amazing!

How are the call of duty games on PS2? Probably won't even run this one, will it?

I'm going to have to get a game machine one of these days.

Shoot, I don't even have any games on my computers. LOL.

I think it would be neat to play games on my projector. A 92" Screen! YEA! LOL.

I have a PS3 with Call of Duty 4 sitting in the floor by my computer desk. The XYL bought it for my Xmas present. She will not let me touch it till Xmas morn. She could at least wrap it...driving me nuts wanting to get into the game. I think by not wrapping it she is just trying to torture me.

Yes retsupt99, this is very much a game you can play online.

No, I do not think there is a COD4 for the PS2.

And I think an online DC.com game after Thanksgiving would be very cool!

And for anyone wondering, yes, this game is amazing. I keep finding things in it that I did not see or didn't happen the first 10 times I played. For instance, I threw a frag grenade through a doorway last night just a terrorist hopped out of another room in the building I was breaching. The grenade hit him in the jewels! He grabbed his crotch and doubled over in pain! I could have eliminated him with my rifle but I just let the grenade do it!

    This game kicks butt.

I'm no longer in the 'videogame race' (Anybody remember the Odyssey2?), but a friend keeps me up-to-date on the game front.

Call To Duty 4 is awesome! I'm so 'old school' (see above) that the graphics on the newer systems just totally blow my mind.
