It seems that the idea for 24 was pitched many moons ago but somehow it did not sell back then. Somebody digged the pilot and posted it in the internet for all to see.
I must admit, it does not have the same flavor as today, but the basic premise is still there.
24: The Pilot
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.

I've always liked '24' - until last year that is. It seems like they got stuck in the scenario that there was always an inside person in, is it CTU? Or, somebody's hackin' in or breakin' in.
I'm too young to be this old!
