CRAZY!! The world has gone mad I tell ya!!!

What can you say about that? Superb work and artistry I'll grant ya but heck, come on - this is exclusively a rich boy's toy yeah?! Not for shooting either I'll wager.

''Bling'' does not even cover extremes at this level ........ maybe high class ''pimp'' LOL!

CLASS3 could tell ya what nice stuff that sorta money would getcha!

    Not So Nice

BETTY HAS THE RUBY & DIAMOND TARANTULA GRIPS with the pure platinum grip screws.
    MrShonts bought them for her.

Seriously folks...I LIKE to see that.

Hey, (??) that gives me an idea for a new reality show >>> PIMP MY GRIPS <<< ------- My gun club already has a guy that shoots one of them "gold plated" Desert Eagles. He drives a Hummer also. And we already know why the male species will purchase and drive a HUMMER !! -----------

    They can afford it?

Personally I know first hand the things leak and break down and are a maintenance nightmare. In addition to your $1200 monthly payment and your $600 fuel bill be ready to budget $800 a month to set aside for maintenance. Also don't forget your insurance costs are going to be downright silly.

Oh Lord the problems people have with their Hummers... something minor costs you a bloody fortune to repair too. A lot of people don't take that into account.

It's something you drive because it's cool and it's different and you're rich enough to afford it. I think it's cool even though I don't think the workmanship is very good. It sort of has some practical value but it's a niche product and it's marketed as such. It's like a .50 caliber rifle: It's a rich boy's toy.

I think their new model is much more practical, but given that I know the nameplate has so much trouble, I'd keep away from it too for the same reason I keep away from certain model Pontiacs!

I'm a GM man through and through but no one gets it right all the time. Incidentally, the Avalanche has a lot of inherent flaws which are very similar to the Hummer's. It's famous for problems with the intake manifold too.

I tell people all the time it's more practical to simply purchase a nice full size truck with a crew cab. If you're considering a Hummer to actually use it for something, you're probably going to have trouble with it. If it's just to show off that you can, then it's the car for you.

Hey ya'll, you know why some "men" drive HUMMERS------ It's to make up for "certin male inadequacies"( you know--down there). My wife tried to get me to buy a HUMMER but I just had to go with a full size P/U instead. The older that I get the more it seems that I will have to eventually purchase a HUMMER. Mybe for my 70th birthday.---------

Getting back to the original Bling Bling grips....I agree with QK comments on this one...anything that'll bring favorable attention to the gun beyond being just something that shoots bullets is okay with me. And yes I could picture somebody using this as a carry item. Of course, I can picture the poor individual that had to use it in self defense, then turn it over to the LEOs for evidence....suppose they'd let him remove the grips first?

    Thumbs up Prospector

Actually, I tried to imagine them on a nice deep blue or stainless or maybe satin nickel 1911 & they would NOT LOOK BAD.

I am not super crazy about totally gold plated guns. I DO think a nice gold trigger looks NICE on a blue firearm.
