Not a good day to ride!
But I went anyway. A local man is shipping out for Iraq next week, the family wanted to surprise him with a ALR/PGR send-off
It was only 28 degrees out but I decided if he could spend a year in the desert I could ride in the cold.
Got to the rally point and a few snow flurries started falling. The ride was only a few blocks away so off we went.
By the time we got done talking to the family etc., the snow had gotten heavier. Thank God I only had to ride a few blocks home, it was gettin' really slick out!
Just to keep the post forum-related: I was carrying my PT145 OWB under a flannel shirt and my leathers. The family had a small house and it was really crowded in there. I kept expecting one of the little kids to bang his head on my piece!
Kudos and gutsy...I've been to eight PGR memorials to honor those that paid the ultimate price and the family for their loss.
Yeah - kudos indeed. :smilez:
I am these days a fair weather biker but I would have done the same. The flag on a bike looks just great - love it.
Nice looking bike, I sure wish it would snow here.
Nice effort...Gutsy?...for sure, I'm not sure I would ride my Electra Glide with snow on the ground...but then...that's why we moved to FL...NO SNOW!
Stay armed...stay safe!:urla9ub:
You got nads bro, I would never attempt to ride in weather like that. I guess Florida and Arizona have spoiled me...stay safe!
AWESOME! Gald you braved the slickness and the cold and survived!
And today I declined to ride my bike one last time to push the gas stabilizer through the bike. A high of 40, and I was too wimpy.
Nice bike and kudos on keeping the shiny side up and the rubber side down.
Look like it was comming down pretty good. I could never ride my V65 in the white stuff. I've never seen anyone get off a bike on the right side till now. Wish it snowed here it would help the water shortage. We can't even wash our cars here unless you have a private well. Lucky me :hand10:

That would've been good to have! Note the three tracks coming into the driveway, the two outside ones are from my boots acting as outriggers.
