President Reagan Quote
I ran across this quotation by President Ronald Reagan today.
"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on to them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free".
Just about says it all, doesn't it?

I think I saw that before but indeed - a truer few words were never spoken. There is a certain irony in those words now tho - in particular since 9/11 and some of the ''changes'' we see going on.

In my opinion, Ronald Reagan was the greatest President of recent history. I can get mad in a heartbeat when someone tries to tear him down, especially one of the democrats at work.

If you enjoy Reagan's speeches, and haven't already done so, you need to familiarize yourself with Peggy Noonan, who turned out to be one of his best writers during her time in the Reagan administration. She is a political historian, and I've enjoyed her books.
