We bought that too along with Lethal Weapon 1,2, and 3, and of course I think "A Christmas Story" is required viewing at least twice during the season.

I want to get them too. I'll have to look for them and maybe pick up the new one that's out. Looks pretty good.

Yep, everyone needs to watch "A Christmas Story" It's a must!

It was so-so. IMHO what saves the movie is Charlize Theron
But she saves EVERY movie she's in!!!!

I'm sorry, but I've got to say that "Bad Santa" is bad enough that it is good.

Atypical Christmas movie. The Bishop's Wife with Cary Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven. Typical yet with a couple of twists.

The only one I can think of is "The Long Kiss Goodnight" with Geena Davis and Samual L. Jackson.

I just rented one from Netflix called "Joyeux Noel" (Merry Christmas). It is a foreign movie based on a true story about Christmas Eve, 1914 in the trenches during WWI where some French, Scots, and Germans stop fighting for the night (and next day), drink together, hold mass, bury their deceased friends, and celebrate. The movie was class. I loved it. Here is the Netflix link: www.netflix.com/Movie/Merry_Christmas/70035181?trkid=190393

P.S. If anyone liked the part in Shawshank Redemption where the main character (Andy Dufresne) played the opera song over the speakers, there is a part in this movie you will really like. It was a beautiful scene.
P.P.S. My husband really liked this movie too, so it is definitely a GUY movie.

The three movies my wife and I always watch for Christmas are:

    1 National lampoons Christmas Vacation

    2 Scrooged

    3 and A Christmas story

    They have become our tradition.

There are about 3 to 5 scenes/lines from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation that are frequently used around my parents house, particularly by my Dad and I.

The movie is absolutely hilarious. It will be watched multiple times this holiday season.
