haha. i almost ran over a turkey on my horse once
When I was a youngster we had a cabin on the north slope of Pikes Peak up by Woodland Park. While riding around the old roads on my Honda 90 there was one cabin that had a grouse near by that would come out and chase me everytime I got close. If I stopped it would grab my boot laces with it's beak and hit me with it's wings. It was a pretty cool crazy bird but didn't last long until something got the better of it.

Wild turkeys can get very aggressive, especially during mating season. Where I live, there is a large flock (hundreds of birds) of wild turkeys in the woods right across from the municipal golf course. This happens to be the two sides of a major U.S. highway. At different times, it is not uncommon to see dozens of the turkeys feeding right along side the highway in the right-of-way. Not long ago, my cousin was down for a visit and when she saw the feeding turkeys, pulled over to take a picture of several of the strutting Toms. She got out of her car and approached the birds to within about 30 yards. At that point one of the Toms took exception to her being there and came after her. It chased her back into her car and actually tried to jump in the car and attack her. I think she learned a new respect for the territory of wild critters that day.

If he tried that with any of my vehicles, I'd have to call him Dinner.
