    Who travels for Christmas?

Regardless if you are just traveling down the block, or across town, or even across to the opposite coast, I hope everyone here has a safe and enjoyable Holiday season, and we all come back in the new year to share each others company.

So back to on topic, How far are you planning to travel this year, we'll include Christmas and New Years if they are separate trips for you.

I have to say, Whooo Hooooo, all of our people at least live in proximity to one city, we're all on opposite sides of it, but we don't have to spend a ton of time driving, or have to (shutter) Dare I say it, "FLY". Man I feel for you poor (insert your own witty adjective here) that do have to go to the airport, twice even.

I hate holidays. I have to go to WI for family and can't carry there. Such a PITA to stop at the border, disarm, put in case, then get back in, and continue.

While not traveling for Christmas, we are going up to the "Great White North" to visit the in-laws in Jan, for our Canadain Christmas

technically i am staying withing my state.
but its 500 miles drive mostly on 55 mph roads through tunnels of snow.
so i chose 'are we there yet'
then again. i do make that drive almost every other weekend.

I'm hanging around for the usual Christmas Eve & Day dinners at the in-laws. Its not bad but definitely not exciting. The weekend after we are going to French Lick, IN and visit the casino for 2 nights and then get out before the NY's Eve idiots take over.

I'm glad my mom is only 6 hrs away. But I'm glad to make the trip because Christmas has always been our families High Holy Day.

We are staying home...I've already promised the 'entire' neighborhood, that if it snows, I'll shovel.

I have to fly to Illinois for Christmas with the in-laws and New Year's with friends. Miami to O'Hare and back. I wonder when I'll see my luggage again....

It is just another day for me, I will probably be reading a good book or a gun magazine. I make it a point to never drive around a Holiday because there are always a lot of drunks driving around and I can't afford to buy a new vehicle.

We'll be driving back to IL for Christmas, then up through Erie and back down again home. It's a rough trip for the little ones, but I'm thankful they travel well.
