A friend of mine needs help with information about removing powder residue from her HK USP pistol. She loves her pistol & told me that a nice HK is hard ta lick when it comes to being a fine shooting pistol! I told her that using some sort of Firearm Cleaning Solvent would probably be much more effective than saliva. What do you folks use to clean the exterior surface areas of your firearms? I'll pass the information on to her. Thanks In Advance For Your Help.
IIRC the exterior of USP is very tough and durable so probably resistant to most cleaners - tho as ever a small test area needs tried with any product. Much will come off with #9 - plus the accrued benefits of the stimulating odor (not to excess - it is partly toxic!).
G96 is pretty kind to things and tho less effective than #9, does get there.
I have never tried but leadaway cloths can help too with stubborn crud, tho primarily meant for stainless and they damage bluing. On the USP just perhaps this is another possible, tho would need careful evaluation.
Nawww that is a reflection of the pervert beind the camera in a mirror behind the model. Look at the dsark area nad see how it has been photshop'd in. They couldn't cover it all or it would have blended into the gun frame. LOL!
