    After More Terrorist Attacks

    This is an excert from an email newsletter I get from MoveAmericaForward.org and I thought some of the more artistic folks here might be interested in submitting something. If you're not artistically inclined maybe we can just blast Steve Pearcy on his blog site.

    - - - - - - -

    From Egypt we learn that the terrorists have struck once more, and
    again they have chosen to target innocent civilians - people whose
    only "crime" was merely trying to vacation with their families.

    There is a reason the terrorists strike at vacation resorts, and at
    office towers in New York and underground trains in London. The
    terrorists' ultimate target is the civilian population of the free
    world.

    They want to undermine our resolve and cause the people of the free
    world to capitulate under the threats of violence and through the
    tactics of intimidation and fear.

    So, you can understand why it is that I am so offended when I see
    some misguided and vocal types protesting against our troop and
    against what our great nation stands for.

    A perfect example of the type of people I am referring to is Steve
    Pearcy, a Berkeley, California resident who is intent on terrorizing
    the people of Sacramento with his obscene anti-American art. Pearcy
    gained national fame after he began displaying U.S. troops hanged in
    effigy from a noose on the front of his 2nd home - in Sacramento,
    California.

    Pearcy maintains a BLOG where he describes those who support our
    troops as:

    "...drooling, toothless conservatives gathered across the street
    from my home to hold their candlelight, faith-healing, vigilante
    prayer meeting... Next time, for the sake of my neighbors across
    the street, I hope that the bible-thumpers will remember to bring
    their drool buckets with them."

    You may view Steve Pearcy's BLOG online here (warning there is a
    great deal of offensive content):

    http://corruptionexposer.blogspot.com/

    People like Steve Pearcy do the bidding of the terrorists... they
    work to undermine American support for our troops and the missions
    they serve: Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom
    (in Afghanistan). The offensive behavior of people like Steve Pearcy
    helps invigorate the terrorists and make them believe that their
    efforts are working, that American resolve in the war against
    terrorism is waning - and thus the killing of innocent civilians
    continues.

    But now things have gotten much more serious.

    The California State Attorney General (California's highest law
    enforcement officer) has put up Mr. Pearcy's anti-American "art"
    along with anti-American, anti-military and anti-Christian works by
    other "artists" in the California Department of Justice building.

    You can see the "art" here:

    http://www.MoveAmericaForward.org

    Mr. Lockyer is paid by the taxpayers. The Department of Justice
    building is funded by the taxpayers.

    Yet, we must all be subjected to sponsoring these works that seek to
    undermine our nation at a time of war. Well, it's time to speak up
    folks!

    What MoveAmericaForward is doing

    It is unacceptable to allow such America-bashing and military-bashing
    by the likes of Steve Pearcy and Attorney General Lockyer to go
    unanswered.

    But, instead of just responding with cries of protest, we have an
    opportunity to turn this story around... to make it a message of
    pride in our nation and our troops - a message that hopefully will
    be so loud it spreads through media reports, talk radio shows, and
    Internet websites and BLOGs around the world.

    Move America Forward is organizing the "I LOVE AMERICA" pro-American
    art exhibit and rally.

    We are collecting pro-American art from our supporters throughout
    the nation. We ask that each of you reading this letter take the
    time to make your own pro-American display. It can be a painting,
    a sketch, a drawing, whatever you wish.

    Ideally it should be 8.5" x 11" or smaller.

    We ask that you mail us your artwork or drop it by our headquarters:

    Move America Forward
    770 L Street #950
    [9th Floor]
    Sacramento, CA 95814

    Include with your pro-American art submission a note of support for
    our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The reason? We'll be
    sending your artwork and notes to our troops DIRECTLY to the men and
    women serving in Iraq & Afghanistan along with boxes of cookies and
    bags of premium coffee.

    A sad state of affairs from the CA State AG. So arragance wins out again, he may have began his carreer in education, so many do here and get elected to serve on a local board then move on up tp the state level. Why should any illegal have respect for our way of life when they view these actions by the top cop??
    I am disgusted as you all are.

    Indeed arrogance yet again - thru the egis of power. How often do we see that - way too often. Disgust is a modest word to describe this - it is an obscene decision. They might as well come out with it up front and actually say - ''we hope all combatant soldiers get killed'' - it means about the same.

    I'll give thought to images - see if inspiration can grab me.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Let me add for now - these pics tho not original would go well in this new collection being sought. I think the second one is superb and speaks volumes.
    Nice work Chris, the second one stands out but they are both nice. Time and time again we on the forum act as Americans, think as Americans and believe in our country while the powers to be seem to pull in the other direction. Something don't compute here or are we all out of step??
    I was thinking more (sometimes) - ''different planet'' !!
    As I said - no credit to me on those pics - tho I'd have been well pleased to have made either. I saved those off web quite some time ago.
    Just a quick effort - several things ain't right but trying an idea. Admitted - Eagle/flag combo images are maybe overused but as ever they represent to me much that is essential. Text is not working yet, tho message is close to what I want.
    Gotta play some more when time.
    Wow Chris
    THEY ARE FANTASTIC!
    Dang Boy! YOU ARE WAY WAY BEYOND GOOD!
    The Flip Side Of The Coin
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Let me play Devils Advocate this time.
    In a way it is GOOD that these anti~American people are doing this type of "Art" work.
    It lets everybody know exactly where they stand.
    Their work flys their true colors.
    For instance...MANY people who believed in Freedom Of Expression were revolted by the crucifix displayed as "ART" in a jar of urine.
    Remember THAT one?
    They did not think that it was proper or in good taste to intentionally hurt good people and their religious beliefs. The "artist" did much more damage to himself than to the Catholic religion.
    So this artwork helps to reveal the wolf that sleeps under the sheep's clothing.
    For that reason ALONE I think it has some merit.
    Give an idiot TOTAL FREEDOM & a length of rope and he will eventually hang himself.
    P95, nice art.
    Ok, so I followed links and I read what was there. Mr. Pearcy seems to be protesting Mr. Bush's policies and the war in Iraq, not U.S. soldiers. There was some nice paraphrasing in the Move America Forward stuff that made it seem like Mr. Pearcy was protesting soldiers. He seems to actually be saying that soldiers are dying due to bad policy from the White House. Was the hanging of soldiers in effigy in poor taste? In my opinion it was, but he has the right to do it.
    If the California AG spends money to bring in "art" like Mr. Pearcy's, he should also bring in "art" that represents a counter viewpoint. I certainly hope that he does, but somehow I doubt it. So that practice should not be allowed.
    I get the impression from his blog that if Hillary Clinton were President, Mr. Pearcy would fly the American flag and be a proud American. He doesn't like conservative republicans and insults them on his site as well. That is his perogative, as it is ours to say we disagree with him.
