    Once you start....DONT STOP!

Ugh... Well, for those of you already working out regularly...don't stop. For those that don't...now's a good time to start . After being off my lifting routine for going on close to 2 months now compliments to having my appendix out, I can safely say that getting started back into a routine is not pleasant .

    "Working out" ?? What's that??

You are right of course - in principle! At my age working out is more what I do with pencil and paper with a math problem LOL.

I should do more - but all the aches and back and hips and stuff - my main workout is walking between office and house many times a day

Darn - oh to be young again.

That's no excuse, Chris. I'm a bit older then you, and work out regularly six days a week; weights, stretching and treadmill. The older we get the more important it is to lift. So, suck it up and get with it.

I am hanging in there. Taking the night off because of this cold or what ever I have but, I work out with weights 3 times a week. The other nights I do HIIT routines on the Nordic Track.

I have gone from 44% body fat in 2005 to my current 16% body fat level and still reducing that down to, hopefully, around 10% to 8%. I may never make it to that level but I am darn sure going to keep trying.

I will agree, if you are lifting, don't stop. Don't level out either, you will loose muscle mass if you level off and don't increase the weight you lift. I increase the weight every week.

Look at the good side, now now will have a scar to show you exactly where to appendix carry your firearm.

I had mine out a few years back. It put a seriouse damper on my lifting / cardio routine. As you know, take it easy the first few weeks. Lighter weight, more reps, and hit the cardio harder.

Everything i do is Work , I mean physical work, I see no need or value with the " working out " stuff now . I did " work out " when i led a more seditairy life as an le tho .
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .

A point to ponder - I recently was prescribed a period of physical therapy. I go to an excellent Rehabilitation Center. They offer the use of their facility as a gym for $20.00 a month and are as well equipped as any gym. Additionally, the staff is all licensed Physical Therapists, not a Joe Shmoe off the street that has a good build, is personable and is wearing the gym's uniform. I think $20.00 a month is cosiderably more reasonable than most gym's.

yeah, a good workout routine helps to keep you healthy and feeling better. I lift 3 times a week and try to bike or run at least twice a week. Also a kick/punch bag helps to relieve stress and is good cardio.
