I didn't realize that. Most Samurai replicas are not worth hanging on the wall and are in fact dangerous just to swing around. The small tangs on them have a tendency to brake and then the blade can fly off into any person standing near by. Still it's not going to do any good as long as metal and grinders and files are still legal.

Well good for them. Now all their troubles with crime and violent criminals will be solved once and for all.
They did ban cricket bats, kitchen knives, sticks, rocks, bricks, frying pans, screw drivers, keys, bare hands, feet, walls, the ground, steel toed shoes, tire irons, crow bars, hammers, table legs, wooden dowel rods, socks with weighted objects in them, box cutters, fire place pokers, shards of broken glass, rolls of quarters (or what ever coins they have) bottles, and anything else that could be used as a weapon right?
And I still say that what they are doing is just making it easier for the Islamo-fascists to take the UK over. Mark my words, with in 15 years, maybe much less, the UK will be an Islamic nation. London is already informally referred to and Londonistan over there.

What was the reason replica swords are illegal and 'real' swords are OK?
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is the only reason for that. People in high places like to collect things like this. I read an article on this and the reasoning is someone wouldn't use a $3000 sword to commit a crime, they use the $50 ones you can get off the internet.
It is just like "junk guns" here.
