The roads were not bad last night, some thick fog at the rim.....
You can jump in the pool, but I can skate across them up here! BTW, I spent way too much money at Cabellas!

I agree... it'd be hard to leave the house if I had scenery like in some of those pics.

Just got back from our doing some skiing in North Carolina with the wife and we timed it just right to be there the week they had the cold front come through.... the 2nd day of skiing the high was maybe like 8 degrees with wind-chill well below zero. Coldest weather I've ever been in, especially being born and raised in Florida, and gave me a whole new definition to cold.

Is kinda nice to be back home in Florida, think we hit 70's today and able to run errands in a tshirt and not have to layer up and worry about snow/ice on the roads.

Don't complain about the snow, that is where most of the drinking water comes from in your area. N one more thing if you call that 12" of snow you need to buy a different measuring device.

But I do have to say that is a beautiful location you have there.

Yep, it didn't look like 12", we had already dug out from most of it, some had melted. That photo was taken in early January, I will take a pic in the morning and post them side x side, we have gotten a lot more since then. We are currently under a winter storm warning, they are calling for 18-24 more inches by monday at noon.
I agree though Sheldon, all of the lakes will be full this next summer, we haven't seen that in a while, the fishin' will be awsome!!!

Here we go again. Welcome to the UP.

Here's a crappy (camera phone) video clip of a small snow blower truck filling up a dump truck to haul away some snow. In the winter, our streets narrow by about 4-6 feet. My village uses constuction graders as snow plows. We dont' mess with them small dump trucks.

Yeah I got lured down to Phoenix this afternoon. I cut and run from Prescott during a break in the weather. For some reason, it seems like it rains/snows/craps everywhere EXCEPT where I live. (knock on wood) Looks like you guys up north are getting the brunt. I knew you guys were in trouble when I couldnt see the peaks when I got up this morning. Enjoy it while you can!!

It was zero here last week and now it's 54. Personally I would rather have the snow.

Winter here used to be just that. But in the past 10 or so years it has become hard to tell what season we are in. New years of 07 I was outside with the family in shorts and a t-shirt.

Wish we'd get some snow so I could take the kids out for some fun.
