Well it finally happened the other day, we had an ND in our house...

It all happened when I was changing my 4 month old son.

I had just removed the offending diaper and was reaching for a new one. Suddenly, my baby boy took aim with his "peashooter" and fired.

Fortunately for me, his aim was off and he ended up hitting himself.

I was simply left with the mess to cleanup.

I guess it is never too early to start teaching the rules of safety.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

My son's first act of life was to pee on the delivery room nurses. They were obviously combat trained and had a diaper handy just for said condition red. You should have seen the smile on his face though.

That same thing happened in my house some 23 years ago. But his aim was better. Got me right between the eyes. Yes, got to teach the little ones early.

Had a friend whose son had an orthopedic problem that required many visits to docs early on. The little tyke had a very well developed aim and knew who the doctors were...........hehehe

It's good most kids outgrow this problem.

You've made it 4 months, and this is your first ND! Wow, I'm impressed!

Or, maybe this is Dad's first diaper changing?

My 6 month old has gotten mom and grandma but by following the rules I have stayed dry.
What nobody tells you about are the diaper detonations. I have taken a baby I.E.D. in the lap before. NASTY!

Now my memory might be a bit foggy as the last time I changed my daughters diaper was 21 years ago. My son is 6 now and he could hit the ceiling without any problems. When my wife decided that she wanted to start over again when my daughter was 14. I put in my two bits and laid down one uncontestable rule if I was going to do my part in having another child. If there was a woman/girl in the house I was not going to change a diaper. I stuck by my guns and the only ones I changed were when my wife was at work and my daughter was not home. When my daughter was born I was much younger and had to change lots of diapers. We were both active duty and for one, four month period my wife was TDY to England while Missy was still in diapers. I got enough of changing diapers to last me a lifetime.
