Cell phone: Same or Opposite side of CCW?

Currently I usually just put my phone in my back pocket. I plan on getting a bigger & better phone in the near future. I usually have shirts untucked.

With the phone on the same side it could draw attention from the CCW piece & the cell phone holder could be used to cover any bulges. Bad side is that it could expose your weapon when reaching for the phone.

With it on the opposite side, the only drawback I can see is that it might pull the shirt that way, thus making the shirt tighter against the CCW carry side.

What do you guys do? Any thoughts?

Disclaimer: I'm not paranoid about this or printing for that matter. I've done it pretty well for some years now, just looking for ideas. Thanks!

I like supporting the cell phone holster using the same clip that supports the tuckable IWB holster, so there's a reason for a clip. Tucked, no problem with the cell phone exposing the weapon. Untucked? Hm. I can see how that might be a problem. Possibly get one of those sideways phone holsters, that point the antenna forward instead of up?

I carry IWB at 3:00 on the strong side hip. My cell phone easily fits into my front pocket on the support hand side which, because it is slightly thicker, nicely hides the shape of my spare magazine.

My leatherman WAVE rides in a belt holster on the support side and in a way, makes the untucked shirt or sweatshirt look symmetrical.

I used to carry my cell in a belt holster but it got banged around too much. I take it out of my front pocket when I get in the car, though I only answer calls from my wife and kids while I'm driving. Nobody else is worth the distraction, I can call them back later.

I keep mine on my weak side, but not because of printing issues or anything like that... I dont want a cell phone in my hand if a pistol is needed.

Strong side = firearm and knife...
Weak side = extra mag, phone, knife, light, and OC spray...

Strong side - gun, car keys, ID/money, phone
Weak side - knife, mags, light, change

I usually wear jeans that are "carpenter" type and have a pocket in the leg. I put my phone in there. My money/cards goes in my back pocket, and my car keys in front.

Knife clipped on my back pocket, mags and light on belt, everything else in front pocket. If I'm wearing fancy pants (I don't) I'll wear a coat too and put what I can in there (phone, ID/money etc..)

hm, not sure. only thing i carry on my belt is the gun.
    i do left pocket: wallet.
    right pocket: cell phone

if i were you i would put it on the left hand side.
exposing the weapon is much more serious than printing.
that and being able to get at your phone when your hand is on your gun is a good idea

I carry mine just in front of my OWB carry rig. The phone holster opening is facing forward so the phone slides out not up. Both holsters are black so they blend if my shirt happens to slide up (not saying that has ever happened).
