Until I was 18 I fought a lot. I was a big kid and lots of people think they have something to prove and like to pick fights with us. My senior year after putting a guy in the hospital for a week I realized that if I kept it up I'd either kill someone or get killed myself while fist fighting. So I learned to curb my temper and I carry a gun. No one in their right mind wants to get into a fist fight while carrying a gun. They just might have to use it. While I never had formal martial arts training I had the ability to work out with those that did have lots of training. I learned that if your in a fair fight your using the wrong tactacts. I think Col Cooper said something about that.

Hapkido...I can honestly say I've been beat by the best, but never the worst in H2H.

It's good to meet someone who is also a master of the art of gunpowdo. I still love that scene in Indianan Jone's where he shoots the giant waving a sword. I find that at this period of my life I practice the draw a lot more than the kata.

    I totally agree.

H2H experience gives one confidence and body demeanor that tell BG’s to leave ya alone, and go pick on an easier target.
Agreed...it also gives you an option for the times when you cannot get to your firearm, or the firearm is not the appropriate option (due to either legal or tactical considerations).

As for me, training for the last 6 years or so in in Kenpo, BJJ, a little knife work, some MMA and some WWII Combatives.

krav maga and tae kwon do. I just recently was involved in a physical confrontation and i was shocked that my "combat" instincts were still intact. I guess thats the advantage of growing up with martial arts in your life.

    I've got mad nunchuck skills.

I've had some training from the military, some from a previous employer. Have been training firearm-centric the last fw years, I may need to pony up some personal coin and take another refresher course this year.

There is always someone better!!! There are a bunch of dead ninja's. I've came to with street on my face, and have put quite a few there myself. I still hit like a truck, and would stick my thumb through an eye. But with a weapon on my hip losing it to someone could be my life. So avoid fights, if not Aggression and distance. I'm addicted to fight quest, Human weapon, ufc, Every training the do where it's more then 1 on 1 they get hit or stabbed. Krav maga, never go down, you go down you die!! Wolves run in packs, and my
    .40 come by the dozen.
