    I thrive on no sleep.
    I subsist on staying awake.
I eat "no sleep" for dinner.
I would not know what to do with 8 hours of sleep.
I would run out of dreams within the first 1.5 hours.

Yeah----sleep is a waste of time. If I'm on a schedule, I'll normally get 3-4 hours of sleep a night. Others mention something might be wrong, but it seems to work for me. My longest time with no sleep is around 36 hours.

    Night owl for life.

The single best thing to do is watch a movie. Pick yourself out a DVD, or something onDemand etc.... and have at it. If that's not enough, grab a Super Cuban Grill from 7/11, have them press it for you....and yea, it's good. :)

I get cranky after staying awake after 34 hrs. Like to get 7-8 hrs. Normally get 6-7. I will catch up on all the missed sleep when I am dead. Nothing better to do.

One of my favorite quotes was from a Battalion Commander who always said, "You have all the time in the world from midnight to 0600". Sleep is way overrated.

I work 12 hour nights so staying up at night is not a problem.

I work third shift as well (railroad). There wasn't enough work today, and with the snow here in CT, they cancelled my shift. I like nights, but my weekends are spent sleeping. Can't wait for a day shift job, normal, 9-5, M-F.

I work seven days out of every two weeks. I could go back to a 'normal' M-F shift, but I wouldn't like it. This is my three day weekend BTW, and I never work more than three in a row unless it's time and a half or double. If I take two vacation days I can have a whole week off. If I worked nights---I'd never sleep.

At least I know I'm not the only one.4-5 hours a night is all I can handle.Plenty of time to sleep when your dead.
