I'll do the back yard with the 22lr only and the steel backstop. Anything louder makes the cattle farmers nervous. My indoor range is 62 miles for pistol and runs me $10 to shoot. Closest range for rifle is public AG&FC Ozark/St Francis and 52 miles. The Hobbs range where I used to go is now approximately 92 miles away from me. I'm going to apply with the local 'gun club' (Old Fort Gun Club) which appears to have the monopoly in the area for some unknown reason-soon as I can adjust my work schedule to make one of their mandatory meetings for membership application. I've already tried a phone call, and some e-mails to them with no replies. I'm going to be taking some absentee points for leaving work early next week so I can give them my $80 and application in person. I guess sometimes you just have to jump through the hoops like a puppy dog in order to get what you want. Figure I'm willing to do that one last time, but quite frankly I'm getting up in years that I tire rather easily from playing games. I really need to check out the public range in Clarksville first though, and might just end up going down to HOTGUN'S territory in Russelville just for the simple reason of the folks up here being so stuck up about things.

I used to go to hobbs but I found an NRA site that's about 4 maybe 5 miles from me so that's where I go when the weather is good. And it hasn't been very good lately. LOL.

There's two indoor ranges approx. 40 miles away, but the outdoor range I like to frequent is about 60 miles away.

Range is exactly 1 mile from my house... in nice weather I take the walk, although if I go trap shooting there, it's a bit much to carry the shotguns and ammo that far.

The conservation club range I belong to is a seven mile drive from where I reside.

It's about a dozen miles to a private range that's is absolutely the best range I've seen...and I've been to quite a few...

I pay $250 a year for the wife and I...private locked entry...access every day...sun-up...until sun-down...400+ members, and except for classes, I've never had more than 4-5 people on a range (various ranges) on any visit during the last 3 years.

We are required to shovel the snow off of any range we choose...

I took that seriously, because we have to do the same here! Then I looked at your name again, and saw you were from Florida! If you want, I could send you some extra snow shovels!
