Cool I Cut My Own Hair Again Today

    With My FlowBee.
    I got mine YEARS AGO.
I must have seriously saved about 5 grand on haircuts so far.
You hook it up to your vacuum cleaner & it suctions your hair & then cuts it to length. It really works.
Then there are taper attachments for the sides.
It sounds like you would really butcher your hair up but, it actually does a really nice job.
I made a special attachment for mine out of a plastic yourgert cup so that I could use mine with my big shop vac.
So...I hafta be careful that I don't suck my whole head up in there...which some of you would LOVE to see happen I'm sure!
Anyway...If you just take your time...the first couple of times you use it...& start with the longer attachments & then just gradually decrease the length then you can't really mess up. So...you can think it's funny me cutting my hair with a vacuum cleaner but, I'm the one saving the money.
And FOR SURE if you have kids you can save $$$ by doing their hair yourself.
Let me quickly see if I can find some pics on the web of the FlowBee Haircutting System.

    $11 QK.

    Eleven dollars.

I'm a poor school teacher and I can spring $11...

But seriously what the flippin' heck is that? You've got to be kidding me. Looks like something sold on an infomercial.

You hook it up to a vacuum cleaner... sounds kinky.

    That's where I bought mine

    off of an infomercial.

It's much better than the Veg-O-Matic though or
    Po-Peals Pocket Fisherman

    Remember the Veg-O-Matic?
Kids...tell Mom...The vegomatic makes sno-cones...now change the dial from slice to dice...imagine slicing a whole firm tomato with just one easy stroke...slice onions...WITHOUT THE TEARS...

Or the PressQuick Automatic Cigarette Dispenser.,,,How many times has this happened to you while driving??? The Press Quick cigarette dispenser places a cigarette INSTANTLY...at your fingertips...no more fumbling for a cigarette while driving....

    Yeah...bad habit of mine...memorizing infomercials.
And then they STAY up there in my brain FOREVER until I suck them out with my Flowbee.

    Flowbee.....

If it works for you, great. I use the clippers on my boys and either give them a close cut, flat top or a mohawk.

For myself I use the headblade.

I'm so glad I don't watch infomercials... Seriously I have a rule: never buy anything off of the TV.

    Here Is The Link

And I'm telling you it really works great.

Back when I bought mine I was going to "The Razors Edge" to get my hair cut & it was costing me $17.00 plus the tip. That was a lot for a haircut back then.
But, it was NOT the money that made me buy the Flowbee...it was the hassle of going to get my doggone hair cut all the time.
So...I ordered one & I've been using it ever since.

but, I never bought the Veg~O~Matic or the PressQuick Automatic Cigarette Dispenser.

Yes, I'd imagine the Flow-bee would give a better haircut than these two wonderous inventions, however,

I bet it still takes lots of practice! :1saufen:

A little off topic, but whatever happened to good old fashioned barber shops?

    I don't know

I used to go to a Mens Hair Styling Salon.
I don't know what happened to "Joe" Barber shop.
Gone the way of "The Shoemaker" I guess.
Either that...or The Flowbee put them all out of business.

I just use scissors and cut off an inch or two every few months. And you still can't tell I cut my hair.

You should have gone to a more expensive barber and you could have saved a lot more.

I used to go to one some years ago. The gentleman barber had been a barber for 30 years and got started in the Army. He had the pole and everything. He'd even shave your whiskers with a real honest to goodness straight razor, wax your moustache, the whole nine yards.

I liked going there because all I had to ask for was a haircut. "I need a haircut." And he'd cut away and not ask me 1000 stupid questions like what he should cut it with or if I used hair spray or whatever.
