My question is----what was he doing at the pub??
That's Glock's "safe trigger" protecting you!
Yep, that's right, blame the object, not the operator... Hmm, who else do we know that does that sort of thing?
My guess is he dropped it and tried to catch it on the way down.
You're correct of course OPFOR, the responsibility does lie with the operator. It's just that I've seen the same thing happen over and over (usually not with these results) when folks try to reholster and some clothing gets in the trigger guard.
I admit that relatively light triggered weapons without external safeties - like the Glock - are unforgiving of errors. However, the operator still has to make the error in the first place. Plenty of people (and things) have been accidentally shot with all sorts of weapons under all sorts of conditions - no firearm is safe if the operator is unsafe. That's all I'm sayin'.
So some guy shot his gun in the bathroom and then pretended it just went off all by itself. I wonder if his higher ups will buy that one....
Its bad enough to shoot your gun in a bathroom because you're stupid, even worse to try to lie about it!
Wonder if his name is Barney Fife? Loaded his 1 bullet and tried to arrest the toilet, it resisted and he was forced to shoot!!
Gun probably slipped of of his holster in the B Room and he tried grabbing for it before it hit the floor. That would be my best guess.
If you drop yer gun...let it fall folks...don't try to catch it before it bites the dust.
