You think you had a bad day?

    A friend emailed me this;
A Southern California Pit Bull decided to tangle with a porcupine (he lost)
The vet sedated him and removed 1,347 quills from him.

There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil.

No that has got to hurt.
What is going to hurt worse is getting them all out.

I wonder if that dog was blinded. Man it does not look like all of those quills could have missed his eyes.

I just have a few questions.

    1. Were those quills open or concealed carry?
    2. Do porcupines have castle doctrine?
    3. Is the dog's family going to sue?
    4. Will all his pitbull friends do a drive by barking?
    5. Did the porcupine call 911 when he was approached?
    6. If so, how long did it take for them to respond?
    7. Did the porcupine have a home security system?
    8. Did the porcupine have a family home invasion plan in place?
    9. What classes did the porcupine attend to prepare him for this encounter?
    10. How often did the porcupine practice?
    11. Has the porcupine ever had a ND or AD?

I have more, but let's just start with these.

That was my initial reaction, most dogs get a few in thier muzzle and they don't want any more of that porcupine. I wonder if it learned anything?

That dog just didn't know when to quit. I had an English Setter that couldn't figure out why she shouldn't mess with porcupines or skunks. After the last porcupine incident I had to shoot her up with BP48 (penicillin) every other day to keep the infection down. She never did get more and 120 at a fight and she had quills coming out on the other side of her head and neck for 2 weeks afterward. It was bad enough to screw up her hearing and she ended up getting attacked by a cougar and I had to have her put to sleep. I've had several dogs try and fight it out with porcupines but never had one dumb enough to not know when to quit after the first swipe with the porcupine tail. It's a wonder the pit bull lived, was not blinded or ended up deaf afterwards.

That breed doesn't know pain or when to quit.

That porky was lucky that there was only one dog, cause after that dog attacked I bet the porky was out of ammo and defenceless.

That's exactly the issue - they won't stop. No matter what. Poor dog. Ouch!
