I was just outed by my cat...
I just got a new DeSantis Hot Jox (cheaper SmartCarry clone that will likely get them sued it's so close to my SmartCarry) and was trying it out. I'm sitting in my home office with a PT-145 sitting in it when my cat hopped up on my lap. Within seconds, she was happily chomping away on the butt of the PT-145 and couldn't be dissuaded!
So it took her about 5 seconds to find it. So it's well hidden and likely won't be spotted by people, but those pets are tough to trick! They also have no shame about staring at your groin either, I guess...

Uh, I would be a bit worried seeing someone let a cat chew his groin area..................................(I'm just saying)

DeSantis Hot Jox
I wonder if this has been discontinued. It is not listed on the manufacturer's web site. NewYorkIronWorks selling it for 50% off list with no returns permitted. And their large size only accommodates a 3.5" barrel.

That's where I picked mine up (new york ironworks). Besides them, I can't find any evidence that the darn thing exists.
And it's not my CHOICE to let the cat chew on my groin-area! She usually sits in my lap and chews on my hands and arms. She WAS quickly dumped to the floor as soon as the teeth came close to that area! I was just surprised at how quickly she found it.

I've been on antibiotics for the past week because my cat bit my hand while holding her for the vet to give her a shot.
Don't underestimate a cat's bite.
Seriously. Do not anger your cat unless you want to go to the ER and enjoy tetanus shots & pills.

My mother almost lost her leg because of that. I hate cats!!!!!!!! Except for Sylvester and Tom of Tom & Jerry. Garfiled isn't bad but I would have shot him long ago.

It might have been those darn Kibbles after-market grips. Animals just can't get enough of those.

Thank you for all the concern! Our cats are very well behaved and don't bite hard...I'm also the only one they give little nips to. It's NEVER been in anger, more along the lines of 'pet me! lick lick nip'. Their claws are more dangerous than the little resting of teeth.
I just wanted to share the humor of a cat figuring out that I was carrying within about 10 seconds.
