I was "volunteered" at a play

I went to an interactive play tonight called The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged). I did not know it was an interactive play. When they asked for volunteers to come on stage and help with the Noah's ark skit, they picked me. I tried to decline, but he wasn't taking no for an answer.

The actors had a bunch of us on stage and we were doing an Old McDonald's farm rendition. I was a cod. I wasn't quite sure what sound a cod makes, but I am thinking why is there a fish on the ark? That was the whole point of my segment. It was quite funny.

I was being a little cautious, but I do not think anyone was thinking I was carrying. I also noticed that the actor's were printing, too. Except they were wearing microphone transmitters.

It was a funny play. Done by the same people who did the Complete Works of Shakespeare.

Anyone else been in a situation like that?

In sceaniro's like the one you described,
I believe the proper term is 'volun-told'.

A cod on the ark......that's funny right there.

Are you sure that wasn't a codpiece?

Something about this story sounds a little fishy to me.

Yeah... Blue Man Group. Informing them in an urgent manner that "I have the flu" was enough to get them moving along to the next sucker. I actually did have the flu, and made a mental note to remember that should it ever come up again. Unless they're cruel ********, they'll let you off the hook.

And for the love of Cod! Must we really coddle to the lowest common denominator by throwing out all these bad fish puns? This thread is already floundering.

I'm just here for the halibut.
The facts are indisputable. There is more data supporting the benefits of Conceal Carry than there is supporting global warming. If you choose ignorance, in light of all the evidence, in order to bolster your irrational fear of guns, you are a greater threat to society than any gun owner.

You should have tried harder...... as in NO THANK YOU, or, just plain NO. The last time I was "volunteered" was only because I was out-ranked.
