That means you're probably on the right track.

I just downloaded a phonetic font, I'll get my dictionary out and see what I can do. Don't expect much.

And that's when someone who really does know German says, "Oh cool! She speaks German!" And then proceeds to have a conversation with me while I stare blankly in return,
Oh, well... if that happens, just take a picture of your face and post it.

I edited my previous post and removed the link. Recordings of my own voice are kinda embarrassing.

The phonetics are a little more difficult than I imagined, but if you're really interested, I can work something else out.

It's funny to see how many Viet Nam war movies have the VC speaking in Chinese or some asian language other than Vietnamese.
I like watching WWII movies for the same reason (and for the explosions, of course ). Although it is the correct language, it's really a blast to hear German officers speak with a distinct American English accent and bad grammar.

Hahahahaha... I know I probably made a grammer mistake with a verb tense, but that's hilarious. A better translation would be:

Mr. Summer speaks Spanish very well. I'm from Texas and I speak a little bit of Spanish. I really like saying "The cheese in my shoes for the cats."

Honestly though, that's a crazy thing to say but I don't speak much Spanish.

Here's a website that I think has them all and instructions:

    Specials ALT Characters

And for those that want another way and run Windows go to Accesories, System Tools and click on Character Map.

You look like a gringo to me.

My street name is "Extra White"(If I had a street name), and in many parts of south Florida, people walk up to me all the time and start yakking away in spanish. Go figure.

Nothing to figure! South Florida is a confusing place for languages and people. You have latino-extraction people that can't speak a lick of spanish and then turn around and be insulted in japanese by a fellow shooter who is blonde and blue-eyed. Or see somebody from a chinese background correcting a New Yorker with an Italian surname on the proper use of his grandparents' language while a Haitian greets you in spanglish. In a weird sense, it is cool.
