Alleged Bank Robber Leaves Her Photo ID

    Posted: Apr. 3 9:47 p.m.

WARREN, Mich. — A would-be bank robber came away empty-handed but left behind something useful for police: her photo identification. The woman was arrested less than an hour later on a charge of attempted armed robbery, Police Commissioner William Dwyer said.

The woman filled out an account application Thursday morning, then pulled a handgun and demanded cash, Dwyer said. She panicked and fled without getting any money; police found an address on the account application, along with her photo ID.

The address was for an apartment near the bank. The manager gave the woman's new address to police, who arrested her without incident.

"We're probably not dealing with the smartest person in the world," Dwyer told The Detroit News for a story published online Thursday.
"If you can't place your shots on a non-moving piece of paper, how much more difficult will it be when that piece of paper becomes a 3-time felon whose sole purpose is to avoid going back to prison no matter what happens and no matter who gets in the way?"

My Favorite Dumb Bank Robber Story

Back in the days before automatic deposit, a dumb BG tried to rob a very crowded bank right across the street from a Federal Court House & Federal building, at lunchtime, on payday.

There were nearly fifty armed Federal LEOs, Agents, Guards, etc in line all around him -- a couple in their guard uniforms.

Not quite that bad, but back in the '70s some guy tried sticking-up a police hangout/bar within 1/4 block of a police station in Philadelphia.

Rumor has it that he lay cuffed on the floor for quite some time while the patrons debate what to do with him. As I heard it, he had a hygiene problem before he realized that some of the options were cons / practical jokes at his expense.

To qoute Jeff Foxworthy.......HERE'S YOUR SIGN!!!
I suggest that if you can find in your inner self the will to inflict violence on someone who is trying to victimize you, and can back up that iron will with all the force that you can muster, you will most likely be successful.

There was an incident in Columbus Ohio just a few weeks ago where a man tried breaking into the cars in the parking lot OF THE DOWNTOWN POLICE STATION.

Needless to say, the lot was under heavy video survallience (sp) and the BG was arrested a block from the station.

During an armed robbery, she filled out an application in her own handwriting, left DNA samples, left photo I.D. and got filmed doing the act. Self-righteous BG that she is, I'll bet she pleads "not guilty."

Last week, a guy walked up to the cashier in the Kalispell Taco Bell, told her to give him all the money in the register, & raised his shirt so she could see the Glock pistol in his waistband. The cashier just laughed at him, so the moron ordered & paid for two meals for him & his girlfriend.

They were still sitting down and eating when KPD arrived & arrested him for attempted armed robbery.

The Glock turned out to be an Airsoft pistol...
