A suspected bank robber peeled off his clothes to throw cops off his trail, but forgot one crucial detail: He left his wallet in his pants.
The manhunt was on last night for Cory Brown, 26, after he allegedly robbed two Manhattan banks over the weekend. He became the prime suspect after his clothes were found next to a tree near his last heist - a Commerce Bank on W. 26th Street, authorities said.
In his pants pocket, investigators found his wallet with his birth certificate and Social Security card. About $3,900 in all was stolen from Commerce and a Wachovia bank on Lexington Avenue, cops said.
