For those who don't get fall.
Been dull here last few days but sun made a partial peek a little while ago - won't last!.
Took this long lens pic of the small ridge, looking over big cornfield out back - just a flavor of PA in fall. Probably not as good as Class3NH gets but still purdy. It's about max now and will soon be gone.

<SIGH> Wish I were there!
The wife and I will be doing a 10K walk out in Garrett County Maryland this coming weekend. We sure hope to see some similar sights.

Rick - if the extra snowfall Garrett seems to often get is anything to by!! - then maybe it'll be just a tad behind here - in which case hope you'll see some good color.
May well be the higher elevations will be that bit later too - I am only at around IIRC 1300' here, whereas Babcock Ridge is about 2700' + nearby - those trees are a few days behind.
I am acutely aware tho that this late splash of color is in reality the portent of months of gloom and cabin fever!!

Now Im home sick
. I may even need to take another hunters safety course. I dunno if my N.Y.S. stuff is any good here?
At least I wont have to deal with heavy lake effect snow, -0 F. temperatures, and 20+m.p.h. wind in a few months.

Wow, Chris that is beautiful! We haven't got there yet, but it won't be long now. One of our attractions in Chattanooga is the Fall Color Cruise down the Tennessee River.

Nice pic Chris
They may be pretty, BUT they are a major PITA to clean up, you rake everyday from now till snow flies then in the spring you rake up all the ones you missed.

Great color P95. Bruce, here the pine needles kill the grass if you don't rake. No rakey...no mowee!

Gorgeous.
And down here trees are actually blooming! No wonder ExSoldier wants to run away :)

Makes me (almost) wish for Maine again. Our fall color down here is a lone pear tree out on the front lawn, and that doesn't start to change 'til late Dec. ------
