Got this link sent - makes it pretty plain that a machete is not the thing to threaten cops with! Apologies if you've already seen it.

Gosh, the way he was swinging that thing at the door if someone were close they could have been hurt. Good thing the swat team maintained their distance.
sarcasm off!
After another run thru or two - it seemed as if he was ready to swing at an officer to his left (beyond porch steps) - which is what I reckon promoted the firestorm, which I think too came from that guy behind porch.
Run it again.
Dayumm.
Wasn't there and don't know all the details, but that seemed harsh.
wow, makes me wonder about fiels of fire. Looked like the guy was close, but not close enough to get the closest officer. But not being there, who knows.
[B]Never take a blade to a gun fight.
Seems righteous to me. :afro:
Boy, he went down in a hurry; anybody got an idea how many shots were fired?
Ron - running that thru many times - it seems maybe only two shots - almost a double tap which seems to have come from the guy at rear he started swinging at. The shooter then quickly darted back probably in case the swing had continued.
Looks like he just had time for those shots - and at the range of what - 6 feet - must have had two very effective hits as the perp dropped like a sack of potatoes.
I couldn't tell, but it did not seem like that a bunch of shots were fired. It appeared to me, that the BG's action expressed intent and of course I can't tell from the vid for certain, but it looks like it the officer that fired was under attack.
Hmm, seems he was inside the "21 foot" rule....yup, they did they right thing.
