    My weekend hunt

Got to get up to MI's U.P. and duck hunt. My Browning BPS is broke ,so borrowed my fathers(originally my great grandfathers) Model 12. I may just have to talk dad out of this gun. Its old, worn and most the bluing is gone, but it sure feels nice shooting it. Not too many ducks to shoot at but I did down a nice mallard and a hooded meganser. Best part is I got to spend time with my dad and bro while enjoying the beauty of water, clouds and the outdoors in general.

I'll second that - always in retrospect the icing on the cake - even if nothing gets shot.

Way back with my Dad - usually just totin' shotguns - we'd walk the fields and talk - nothing else mattered much. Rest his soul.

A couple weeks ago when I visited family, almost everybody in town was wearing camo. It must be hunting season.

When I first started shooting, I think went from a little .22 lever action carbine to dad's old Model 12. Great shotgun. Definitely talk dad out of it!

Its bow season right now. I just have find out if my N.Y.S. license/safety class is good here, or weather I have to go through a whole new safety class.

I should take my muzzle loader to the range and work up some new loads. There are better bullets out since the last time I had a good load, I want to see what new combo will work for my in-line. Ill break out my rifle as well.

Does anyone know how much more I will have to pay to get a Georgia big game tag? Deer in Florida are kinda small .
