Things we do to keep the other-halfs happy

I had to buy my wife a new car so that I could get my Eos back. The original plan was for her to drive my Toyota Yaris until November or so when we would not be upside down anymore, but she hated the manual transmission. So my brand new convertible became her brand new convertible (funny how that works). I had to do something quick to get my car back and here are the results:

This was her response on another forum we both participate in:

    best hubby ever
    my response:

does this mean I don't get in trouble if I accidentally come home with a new gun?

Nice car, but you still need a dog and a gun...looks like someone walked away with all the grass in your neighborhood!

Maybe, but you better buy it quick while the car is still fresh in her memory.

I had a co-worker get married. He told me that he and his new wife had a discussion. Her thought process was the money he make is the family money, the money she makes is her money.

    How does that work again??

Oh the things we do to please our 'other' halfs........
I no longer play golf a 'couple times' a month,
I no longer come home with firearms that 'followed' me home (too often)
I no longer claim my pick-up as my own.....she's 'adopted' it as her own
I have become 'versed' in picking out and purchasing "bling" (diamonds are NOT a womans best friend, but they'll NEVER tell YOU that!)

I wouldn't trade my wife or children for what I've "lost" either.
Now.....if only I could get her to purchase gun for me like I've gotten 'bling' for her......................

I would think buying a car like that would be worth a black rifle and a handgun.....maybe some bullets

Just bought the wifey an '04 Pontaic Grand Am SE w/ 40K as a pre-emtive strike to cushion the response of my plan of picking up an AR later this summer......

    Well not really.....

We needed a vehicle that got better gas mileage, and she was overdue to pick a car out she liked she could call "hers". So I parked my truck, till days when I absolutely need it, and drive the family Magic Bus Dodge Caravan - thank god I bought a SPORT, at least it's got a nifty rear spoiler......

You have to buy for HER, that does not mean you are buying for you too. Allow me to quote a previous post:

"What's mine is mine. And what's yours is mine."
You see... she likes guns so that means your guns ain't yours, they are hers!

You poor misguided fellow! If anything you are in worse shape than any of us.
