I guess this is the correct place to put this. Please move if it is not.
There was a fatal shoting at the range where I work today. Right now it looks like an intentional suicide rather than an accident, but everything is still in turmoil, details are sketchy. For the record, I wasn't there, but got a call from the boss and heard part of the incident over the F.D. radio.
I'm sure whatever the details are it will be a nightmare for the employees on duty, as well as a rash of bad publicity.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Any suggestions for the inevitable interviews and sound bites? Any advice at all? We have not had to deal with a fatality before. There was an employee injured seriously many years ago, before most of us started working there. Nothing like this.
