    I feel for you, Draco.

I always park in the back when I go to the gun shop.

Man, after 37 years she probley knew EXACTLY what you had planned.
I've only got 8 years with my bride and she gotten REAL good at cutting me off at the pass.

You actually said the words? Brave soul. Time to do what you said you'd do, and to be happy you've got a partner who understands both self-defense and you.

OUCH on the red-handed thing, I recently got caught too.

I ordered a CMP Garand and saw the Fed Ex guy coming down the driveway. I had been tracking him with the intensity of NORAD. My wife was in the bedroom getting dressed. I thought, "AHA", I'll get this signed and stashed away to eliminate any potential "gun inquiry questions". I hurried to the door (pre-doorbell) and was ready to greet the Fed Ex guy. I waited and waited and finally realized he went to a different door (he never does that). I make an adrenalin-induced Olympic run outside around the house to intercept him.....too late....he was there and had my wife signing the paperwork.......YIKES, I've got to think quick. So the best defense is a good offense huh? So I said, "It looks like you've ordered some more QVC stuff from the tv huh"? The glare I got back reminded me of an oncoming muzzle flash.

The Fed Ex guy sensing "trouble", feebly attempts to back me up and says, "Well maybe he ordered you some flowers". He got the muzzle flash treatment too, and disappeared with an impressive sprint back to the safety of his van.

Somehow I was lucky enough to be able to enter the house before I heard the door lock clicking. I notice that she hangs around while I open the box and I foolishly think she's actually interested in what sort of rifle is in box. So I'm babbling incoherently something about firearms and "Saving Private Ryan" (a movie she likes with Garands), but as soon as the box is opened she grabs at a bag of paperwork.......looking for the RECEIPT !!!

Ahhhh, but the good people at CMP had wisely put the receipt separately under some foam padding. So like Private Ryan I was saved.

I'm glad you cleared that up, Bushy would be a interesting nickname for the SO
