Ya know what would really suck? Is if you spent $900 on that jacket and didn't have it buttoned up and someone shot you.

Hahaha - Bruce - you nailed that!!
Trouble is my concealment is unbuttoned shirt or vest - it'd be a waste of money for me
Do they make a ceramic cup too?

Been thinking about getting a police surplus vest from bulletproofme.com for SHTF use. Wouldn't want surplus for duty wear, but in a NO type environment it would be better than nothing, or my milspec frag vest, and they only cost about $250.

if its level 4 vest, probaby about 3 lbs. or more. also quite thick. The front button up would present too many opportunities to have a bullet slip thru IMO. All body armor gets heavy if ya wear it all day too.

Interesting, but since I refuse to ever give Levis any more of my money unless they renounce their behavior towards the Boy Scouts I will not be buying one of those.

CE...
can you tell me what levis did against the BS? Just curious.
I'd like to own a jacket like this, but i wear most of my jackets unbuttoned anyway... so it probably wouldn't be real effective.

I don't think its actually a Levis jacket, so you're safe there :)
There is definitely less expensive body armor out there, but its not as cool looking as this.
