Kennedy Diagnosed with brain tumor
Although I do not care for the man or his politics, my prayers go out to him and his family. I lost my mother, father in law and mother in law all to cancer. It can be a slow painful death that no one should have to suffer.

+1....Tis the way of the Samurai on how one views his enemies. Out of respect.

I don't wish that on anyone. That's the "mapping" part of the brain, and the more it's effected the more warped the information his senses receive will be. General moving around can become like moving through a maze.
I'd like to see him out of politics, but not like this. Best wishes for his health.

There are a handful of genuine bad guys on whom I might wish, or have wished, this fate; Pol Pot, Idi Amin, and so on.
The Senator, no matter what one might think of him, is far from deserving of this fate.
Forty eight years ago when I started college I had several expectations of things I thought I would see in my life time. None have come to pass.
1) Real progress on cancer if not a cure
2) An anti-viral agent that worked across a variety of agents the way antibiotics do with bacteria
3) A nuclear fusion---electricity abundant---economy.
Somehow our research community is missing the boat on cancer therapy. I think because too much emphasis is placed on clinical research and not enough on discovery research. There has been progress, but not the dramatic step forward I had hoped to see in my lifetime.
That's a soap box for another day.

You'd be shocked at how much progress has already been made. It's a matter of following the money.

Senator Kennedy is not one of my favorite people, but I would not wish such a fate upon him. Prayers have been sent for him and his family.

Well-------at least now maybe we can start to understand why he voted the way he did, his brain was or is being eaten by cancer.
It is something no human should have to go through.

I can't agree w/ his politics, but not in million years would I wish that on him.

Have never been able to 'stand' the man or understand his opinions...but I feel badly about his present condition...hope he is able to cope and does not endure a lot of pain...being surrounded by close family is all he might have left...I hope he can handle this 'mountain'.

I think it is pretty much the same all across the board. Even tho we don't agree with his views, we all wish he and his family peace in a time like this. Who among us doesn't recall the events that family has gone thru.
Least we forget ... Not to mention, floating a car or two.

I agree it does explain how he was voting the way he did. I don't care for him or his type. 1 less liberal jerk in the world.

OK we are all well aware of his condition now.
It's been all over the local and national news.
