Free Ringtones?
Ok, I normally don't go for fancy stuff on a cell phone - only use for calling or getting a call. Now I have one that you can select different ring sounds but I hear others go off like a police siren or other things.
I know how the "free" stuff works with music cd's - first few are free then you HAVE to purchase so many each month.
Is there a website where you can actually get free ring tones without any catches?
web link appreciated.
Thanks...

Try this website: https://www.myxertones.com/
You sign up for an account and can then search for songs and they then send it to your phone which will allow you to down load it.

Many phones allow the use of .mp3 ringtones. Some even come with the required software and USB cable to interface your phone with your computer.
I use a Sony Ericsson 810i, which came with the cable, software, etc. I've yet to use the software, however, due to the fact that the phone (and the memory card) show up as two different drives in the My Computer window. All I have to do is copy the .mp3 files over to the correct folders, and they are available for use for my ringtone, text/voice message tone, and alarm. The ringtone (with AT&T, anyway) must be under 30 seconds and/or (unsure which) about 500kb. Simple sound-editing software can be used to do this, however.
