Pictures from abroad!(and elsewhere, Dial up beware)

I know a lot of us here have seen some pretty amazing things.

Figured I would share some of the more memorable moments of my time in the Navy and encourage you guys to do the same(Military or Non-Military).

Well, here it goes...Some from the USS Nimitz CVN-68

There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil.

The flightline with the sunset in the background is a great picture. Thanks for sharing!

That flightline picture looks like something a professional photographer would have sold to a magazine or had published in a pictorial book.

I would love to post my pictures, but I was overseas in '89 and '90, before digital cameras, and I don't have a scanner.

As a side note, a stray cat had a litter in my shed on top of one of the boxes that had a bunch of my pictures, ruining most of them. I only have about 15-20 left.

Sounds like a good reason for some stir-fry

    Ahh...the Nimitz.

    BTDT.
1980. Spent two weeks on it. Then a week on the Ike CV 69.
Both of then were pretty new back then.

Surreal is right. Anybody remember the 1980 movie, The Final Countdown? The plot had the USS Nimitz travelling thru a time portal back to just before the Pearl Harbor attack.

    Cool pics, Kerb!

Yeah, I don't know why they choose to do the cheasy movies on my ship. We had Jamie Foxx and Jessica Alba come out to film Stealth a few years ago.(as an aside, I'm in the last scene, I'm the one in the uniform )

The movie wasn't great, but having Jessica Alba walk around the ship was a, well, eye-opener.

I know the rest of you guys got some good shots...How about sharing 'em?

Nice pictures. For the land lubbers in the crowd, it's always great to see the view from the seas, skys.

Though little-known, I thought it was very well done. Interesting plot, decently acted. Hey, even Martin Sheen did well.
