Outdoor Channel - What Happened
Ok, I'm one of those guys who used to enjoy outdoor channel 606 on Directv and after 6 yrs I wake up one morning and it's gone. I call em up and they want me to pay subscription for this channel or buy the full sports package. In the meantime I'm missing Shooting Gallery, Guns & Ammo, Sighting In and Personnal defence TV. I'm I the only one that had these for free? C'mon, 6yrs and they just now tell me that?

The companies package the desired channel with the crud, so they can get their money from them.

I have DirectV and my package does not include Outdoor Channel so I got it for $2.99 a month extra was $1.99 when I first started but went up around the first of the year. Ask for it al-a-cart.

Shoot, I'm going to have to check mine when I get home tonight. I'm on Brighthouse. I haven't heard anything about them making it a subscription channel...

That is the truth, and what a shame too!

You can get it ala carte for $2.99/mos- thats what I did when DirecTV stopped their "Extended Free View" (as they called it) of Outdoor Network. Call customer service or (as I did) shoot them an email and they can add it right then and there. I could not live without my Midway Night at the Range every Wed night.....
