Wondering if I should wash my hands of the whole thing...

I wonder if I should keep trying with the fairer sex or just cut my losses. I am tired of getting nowhere. I have enough "friends". Sorry if I am ranting and thank you for your patience. It's been a rough day.

Well, I have had more than my share also. Divorced, four bad relationships afterwards. About six years ago I had my last live-in girlfriend. She decided she wanted to move back to her state.

I been basically alone since and I really couldnt have been happier unless that once in a million gal came along that was near perfect. That hasnt happened, I am still single and loving it.
I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry.

No more for me. I eat what I want, when I want. I choose the TV channels. It costs me half as much to go out. Nobody tells me when I can buy a gun. I'm happy.

    Dont fret.
There is someone out there for everyone.

    Dont try so hard.

If you like women, there is no getting them out of your mind.

I can't help you or offer any advice. I've been "off the market" for almost 17 years. I'm sure things have changed a bit since the last time I was out.

Okay, maybe a little advice. Go meet some girls you don't already know. That way you're not starting on the "friend" side. Get off the computer and go to a dance club. Don't go to a bar, girls don't usually care for drunk guys. Girls like to dance and that's where you'll meet some of the good ones. Most of all, be confident. Girls don't want to hear a bunch of soppy stuff when they first meet you. Don't be a jerk, but don't be a whiner either.

If things are getting rough and you just want a roll in the hay, lower your standards for a little while and do a mud-duck night.

    Thats true.

But it can be the hardest state of mind to get over...

Get a dog, they are much more loyal. If you get a cute one they are chick magnets. Either way you can't lose.

It will hit you when you least expect it. Hang in there.

    Be yourself

The main thing is that you just BE YOURSELF. Don't get into the mind games and BS of being the man you think she wants you to be - be yourself.

How 'bout some of the online dating services? I've seen some commercials that look pretty promising. Once again just be honest about who and what you are and hope she does the same. It's always a risk, but it's 'better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all'.

Take your wife/girlfriend, throw her into the trunk of a car, along with your dog..wait an hour before you let them out and SEE who really is HAPPY to see you!

I did that. They are a chick magnet. Problem is, the girls don't even notice you.

Case in point. I was running with my German Shephard puppy. After the run, I was cooling down and this really attractive girl screams out, "you are sooooooo cute". Then she looked at me and said, "the dog....not you" and walked away. Ugh.
