What makes the green grass grow?

While getting ready for work this morning this question popped in my head. You gotta love having ADD:

    left sock, on
    right sock, on
    left shoe, on
    Totally random question
    right shoe, on.

So I figured I'd post it and see who can remember that far back. This may be a very targeted question, so it will be very telling.

Actually doggie doo is harmful to plants, it is not fertilizer like other animals.

    Commie blood.

Did anyone else feel like a dork yelling that at the top of their lungs while training, I certainly did.

I'm just one root in a grassroots organization. No one should assume that I speak for the VCDL.

I am neither an attorney-at-law nor I do play one on television or on the internet. No one should assumes my opinion is legal advice.

Am I missing something? I just don't get it. Can someone elucidate?

Umm, try "patriots" (an' I ain't talking 'bout no football team).

"The blood of patriots shall be required, from time to time, to refresh the tree (and presumably the grass around it) of liberty."

Hopefully my bastardization of the quote will allow me to survive without being BBQ'd.

    Three letters... A. D. D.

People with this affliction tend to get sidetracked right in the middle of performing tasks - Oh, look, a bike... - that normal people do without thinking about them.

First off, I have ADD and it can get interesting. Second when I was in Basic Training At Ft. Leonardwood while on the bayonet range our Drill Instructors would yell "What makes the green grass grow" and our response would be, in a loud proud Army way "Blood!" Then they would ask "Who's blood?" and we would respond in kind, "Commie blood!"

So you can see that the fact this popped in my head while I was putting on my socks and shoes (and I haven't used any of these terms since 1992).

I tend to be really focused...unless, of course, I get distracted by somethin' shiny.

To elucidate, dear friend JoninNY...only a select group would respond to the question in a specified manner! 'Blood' being the reflexive response drilled into many of us...
