I have a lot of varmint activity around my house.
Just a few minutes ago I spotted one outside my back door taking in nourishment no doubt to bolster his energy for a night of strategic foundation digging.
Its after 11:00pm here so shotgun, AR-15 and XD 45acp would give up my position to the rest of the varmint units in the area.
I find myself without my usual varmint weapon, a .22LR Marlin bolt action. Sweat beads on my forehead as I contemplate the only method available to me to engage the enemy . . . my Tactical Slag Chipping Hammer.
I had tactical advantage over the target but he was wary of something. Not knowing his next move I needed to advance quickly and make use of my element of surprise.
Quickly, I breech the doorway and leap off the back deck towards my adversary. Before he could even react I was upon him and with one very well placed shot, my weapon pierced his fragile skull.
One hit one kill!
Ok, without the drama, this just happened! I gave my Marlin .22 rifle to my cousins son for his first rifle. I used it for varmint control. Tonight, I spotted a possum out my back door. I grabbed a welding chipping hammer from my tool box, jumped off my back porch and simply struck the possum in the skull with one whack. This critter didnt even try to move as I jumped towards it. It was over in a flash and he died within a minute.
