At least one MP has a spine

Not sure if this belongs here or not, if not I apologize in advance.

Long story short, one of the major members of the Conservative Party in England is taking a stand and trying to at least fight against the new law that was passed that would allow the British government to hold a person for 42 days without charges.

I'm not sure I can explain the situation very well so here's the story via the BBC:

It mentions in the article that the conservatives are favored to win in the next election, for the sake of our British friends I hope so.

I think he really gets it when he said "In truth, 42 days is just one - perhaps the most salient example - of the insidious, surreptitious and relentless erosion of fundamental British freedoms."
