Most affable and fair news person NBC had, and I will truly miss him. My prayers go out to the family and for Mr. Russert.
    God bless our troops!

Tim Russert was one of the worst media clowns. He will not be missed.

He and David Bloom were the only two NBC reporters I've ever really liked.

ps: rodc, your word for today is Discretion. Know it. Live it. It'll make you a better person.

Thanks, Manzanita. I'll keep it in mind, should that ever become an issue.

Here's another lesson(See def #4): If you don't respect someone in life, there's no reason to when they're dead. It's frankly done way too much, and is tiresome.
    Cheers,
    Rod

I always liked him and watched him on Sunday's when I still watched TV

They just don't make 'em any better! My wife and I both really enjoyed his Meet The Press and will miss him I am sure! Brokaw will do good but he just won't be Tim Russert!

He was the only one of the elitist media members who had worked on the back of a garbage truck, that's for sure.

If you ever want to give a great Father's day gift, his book Big Russ and Me is truly awesome. It's hard to read without your eyes getting moist. It truly illustrates the bond between fathers and their kids and made me appreciate even more how great my Dad is. I gave the book to my Dad for Father's day the year it came out. Wow! That's all I can say.
