Connecticut Man Threatens Girlfriend, Then Police With 9-Foot-Long Python

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. Bridgeport police said they arrested a city man after he ordered his pet to attack two officers.

Lucky for them, 9-foot-long pythons aren't very obedient.

Police Lt. James Viadero said 21-year-old Victor Rodriguez was charged with threatening police and disorderly conduct after Monday's incident. No one was hurt.

Officers were called to Rodriguez's apartment on a report that he was going after his girlfriend with the pet reptile.

When the building superintendent opened the apartment door for the officers, Rodriguez allegedly told the snake, "Get them!", according to Viadero.

Rodriguez and his pet were both taken away: Rodriguez to jail on a $10,000 bond, and the albino python to the city's animal control shelter.

Do you think he might have been drinking?

When pythons are outlawed, only outlaws will have pythons.

I'm going to talk to some Bpt. PD folks when I go to court this week.

I'm going to recomend they issue knives, packages of breading and a deep fryer which can be powered by a car charger to deal with these pythons.

Pennsylvania State Police had a guy do that to them with a pet rattlesnake. Incident didn't end well for the actor or the snake.

for punishment, the judge should order that the dude be the meal for the 9 foot python. that should last for a good, long time. Strange things happen in Bridgeport, CT.
