    New Hampshire help! (Planning vacation)

I'm trying to plan a 3 or 4 day vacation to New Hampshire but internet research isn't getting me far.

I want to find someplace where I can stay in a hotel and:
-Is close enough to take a day hike in the White Mountains (1 hour drive or less)
-Is close to at least 2 public golf courses.
-Has some night life in walking distance from the hotel.

What city/area can I look at for booking the perfect hotel for me?

Also, any conceal carry laws I should worry about? I'll be driving from NY and have my NY permit and NH non-resident permit.

    Hmm... maybe Laconia?

It's pretty much the center of the universe when it comes to activities up in the White Mountains. They host Bike Week, and during the summertime everything is open - bars, restaurants, water parks, the alpine slide, Ruggles mine, the Polar Caves... plus you can always rent a boat and go out on Lake Winnipesaukee (WIN-e-pa-SAW-key).

As far as carry goes, just don't go into a courthouse, elementary school, prison, etc... malls, restaurants, bars, etc. should all be ok.

Check for yourself before you go!

BTW, don't worry about planning activities. If you want to golf, bring clubs - but as far as day trips... well, stop at ANY rest area once you get past Manchester, NH on I-93 north, and pick up one of the gross of brochures for tourist attractions. My favorites are the Polar Caves (might not want to have a bulky gun on your waist for the Lemon Squeezer), Ruggles Mine (bring good boots), and the Flume Gorge. You will definitely run out of time before you run out of stuff to do.

Check out NRA Travel they have hotel information as well.

Thanks guys. Looks like there is a lot of stuff around there and a ton of golf courses too. This is mostly a golf vacation for myself and my friend. I was supposed to get away with him before he got married but he was too busy with the planning so we're doing it this year instead.

    thanks again.
