Rest in peace, George Carlin.
George Carlin Has Died
I read this news this morning and was crushed... I actually woke up my wife to tell her, and the two of us just bawled like we had lost a grandfather for 10 minutes. George, we will miss you - you were truly an exceptional individual.

Whenever I hear of the "seven deadlies," I think of Carlin, strange as that seems.

Liberty is an inherently offensive lifestyle. Living in a free society guarantees that each one of us will see our most cherished principles and beliefs questioned and in some cases mocked. It's worth it.

Rest in peace Mr. Hippy Dippy Weatherman.
A person is justified in the use of deadly force, if such person reasonably believes deadly force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to such person or a third person.

I beg to differ I went to a convention that he was booked for and he was doing material for his next HBO special,I'm pretty sure they keep the seating area dark so he can't see all the people that leave during his performance,to put it lightly the guy was an egomaniac and even tho I got my tickets at 1/2 price I wasted my money

To me, he was one of those guys that WAS funny "back in the day" as the kids say. But just seemed to get angrier as life went on. But, yeah. He was a pioneer and an icon, sure enough.

I agree with dukalmighty and taggart...GC used to be a pretty funny guy. He was witty AND original, but during past years he seemed to become angry and almost anti-American...I did not enjoy his performances in the last decade.
I too, was shocked at his death...only 71...there are things to be missed, and some not...OMO
