    Go to your county sheriff website, search warrants and traffic records. put your into in. it tells what traffic tickets you had, what was the outcome and if there is a warrant for your on any other matters
    its free
    dalways do it on new people i come across and i found some dirt on my buddy that he had on him from back home. just did it with another person who join my organisation, and found out he was in a lawsuit.

    That's a bit unusual...... Normally the only discharges that would be "uncharacterized" would be administrative separations, either entry level (within the first 6 months of enlistment), and those for a void enlistment contract....... and you mentioned having been in the service for 4 years, correct?

    As a rule, general discharges are characterized as either "under honorable conditions", or "under other than honorable conditions".

    Can you give me some insight as to the specific circumstances surrounding your discharge? PM me if you like..... I might be able to shed some light on your specific situation.

    Regardless though, a general discharge, even with a characterization of "other than honorable" is not the same as a punitive discharge awarded as a result of a court martial. As such, I doubt that the discharge would in any way impact your NICS check.
